For a moment, forget the argument about martinis being made of gin or vodka --it's more pointless than Miller Lite's "Less filling, tastes great" debate. Most cocktail drinkers probably agree that the classic, original martini is made of gin, but that using odorless, flavorless vodka --as James Bond demanded-- makes for a more palatable, easy-drinking version. The only harm is having one too many... or none at all.
